Booking an Appointment
All of our clinical practitioners and doctors will help you deal with acute and long-term health problems and illnesses. This will always involve advice on how you can help yourself, sometimes it will involve treatment in the surgery or medication, and at others referral to local hospitals may be necessary.
We offer either face to face consultations or over the telephone. If you requested telephone consultation, please make sure that the reception staff is advised of your correct telephone number.
Patients can see the clinical practitioner or a doctor for ongoing and long-term health problems. However, when you need to see a doctor urgently it may not always be possible to see your usual clinician. Please remember that all clinicians at the surgery have access to your medical record and therefore can assist you / continue your care.
To book an appointment, please either:
- Use our secure online booking form. Please be aware, the use of the online form should only be for non-urgent queries, whether its medical or admin related, as response time could take up to 48 hours.

- Visit reception in person.
We offer wide variety of prebookable and on the day appointments

Helping the appointment system run smoothly
- If you are unable to keep your appointment please notify the surgery as soon as possible, either by text message or by telephoning reception.
- One appointment is for one person. If you want another member of your family to see the doctor or nurse, please book a further appointment.
- When arriving at the surgery for your appointment, always inform reception
- Sometimes people can forget to tell the doctor all the important information about their problem. It may help to write their symptoms down. Please remember our clinicians are limited to 10 minutes appointments.
- If you don’t understand what the doctor or nurse says to you, please don’t be afraid to ask for a further explanation.
- It can sometimes help to have a partner or friend with you (the Clinician can ask them to step out of the surgery if necessary or if the Clinician has concerns)
- If you are seeing the doctor or clinical practitioner to discuss the result of an investigation or a recent hospital treatment, check with reception first that any important results or letters have been received.
- Appointments may not be required to have insurance forms completed or renewal of sickness certificates. Please ask at reception
- If you would like a chaperone, please speak to the Doctor or Clinical Practitioner
- PLEASE NOTE:- The Enhanced Access extended hours or The Walk-in Centre may be advised if there are no appointments available.
Can we ask all our patients that during the consultation, could you place your mobile phones safely away from display so that there are no disruptions to your consultation. Could we please turn the ring to silent. Thank you
We make every effort to keep appointment times but there may be occasions when they overrun.
